Dr. Shadaanan Singh is a compassionate and driven optometrist dedicated to helping patients strengthen the connection between their eyes and brain. With a strong interest in functional vision care and neuro-optometry, Dr. Singh is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals of all ages experiencing visual challenges. His goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care through advanced vision therapy techniques, ensuring that each patient receives the support they need to succeed at school, work, or in everyday life.
Dr. Singh’s passion for this work is deeply personal—he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) in his 20s that nearly cost him everything. Through his journey of exploring multiple treatment modalities, he faced many ups and downs, but ultimately overcame his struggles and rebuilt his cognitive and visual functioning. This experience not only inspired him to pursue neuro-optometry but also solidified his belief that if he could heal his own brain, he can help others do the same.
Dr. Singh earned his Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL where he gained a strong foundation in clinical eye care. During his training, he completed externships at Draisin Vision Group in Charleston, SC, and Braverman Eye Center in Hollywood, FL, which enhanced his hands-on experience in vision therapy, ocular disease, and primary eye care. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Singh continues to advance his skills through professional development and is passionate about staying up to date with the latest research and innovations in optometry.
Dr. Singh's clinical focus includes diagnosing and treating binocular vision disorders, vision-related complications following traumatic brain injury, and functional vision problems affecting learning and reading. With his previous experience, he has developed a strong background in personalized vision therapy programs, photobiomodulation (light therapy), and ongoing progress evaluations. He is a member of both the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA) and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), which reflects his commitment to providing advanced, evidence-based neuro-vision therapy to his patients.
